Bal Harbour Tennis Academy was founded in 2017 to provide the area's highest level of junior tennis development. During the first five years of academy operation, 90% of our students were from the surrounding area, covering Clear Lake, League City, Seabrook, and Friendswood. In the last four to five years, more and more students have come from the Pearland, Sugar Land, Pasadena, Deer Park, Baytown, Midtown, Montrose, and Uptown Houston areas, as well as from Katy, Cypress, and Spring. Although Bal Harbour Tennis Academy is not centrally located, we have become a major junior development and high-level preparation academy in Houston.
We were proud to develop top-tier junior players from our neighborhoods and to elevate the level of junior players across the greater Houston area. Our students attend top colleges and national universities on tennis scholarships every year.

Below are some players in recent years from our academy who went on to play NCAA Varsity college tennis:

- Reed Collier (Seabrook), Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX
- Megan Flores (Clear Lake), Trinity University, San Antonio, TX
- Anton Borovik (Clear Lake), Southwestern University, Georgetown, TX
- Isabella Harrison (Nassau Bay), Baylor University, Waco, TX
- Race Hass (Friendswood), St. Thomas University, Houston, TX
- Chase Turley (League City), Centre College, Danville, KY
- Jackson Caldwell (Seabrook), Northwestern University, Chicago, IL
- Ethan Flores (Clear Lake), Trinity University, San Antonio, TX
- Andrew Reiman (Clear Lake), LeTourneau University, Longview, TX
- Erica Jessel (League City), Northwestern University, Chicago, IL
- Roshin Klamath (League City), Trinity University, San Antonio, TX

Most of our junior players preferred to play "Club Tennis" at major universities.
During their student years, some of our students applied their skills and knowledge from Bal Harbour by working as part-time tennis coaches. Others decided to develop professional tennis coaching careers.
